About Us

Our Story

We have known each other for eight years. We started dating in our junior year of high school. We met in our physics class and looking back, we both claim we had a crush on one another, but we barely said a word to each other the entire time we were lab partners! It wasn’t until we had a get together with some mutual friends that we started talking. And once we started talking, it didn’t take us long to realize that we had an immediate connection.

We dated for the rest of high school and continued to date even as we went to separate colleges. It was difficult to be “long-distance” (we were only an hour and a half apart), but we would visit each other on alternating weekends and it was a fun opportunity to check out each other’s campuses. We enjoyed each other’s company, shared similar interests, and loved trying new things. We knew we wanted to be together and waited patiently for the day when we could finally get married.

And so, we got engaged in 2020, a year before graduating, and were married in June of 2021. Now, we have been married for three years and our relationship has continued to grow as we’ve walked through new phases of life together: graduating high school and college, buying a house, getting two goofy cats—and now we’re excited to see what this newest chapter has in store for us as we prepare to become parents!

Our Family

Sophie grew up doing a lot of baking with her mom. Since she was little, they have always baked a huge array of Christmas cookies together in December, and it's a tradition that they have kept up to this day. After all the baking, we enjoy driving around to our friends, families, and neighbors to share the sweet treats with them. We are looking forward to making new Christmas and baking memories with our future child!

Our Home

Our Neighborhood

We live in a three-bed, two-bath home. It's located in a friendly neighborhood, just around the corner from an elementary school and directly beside a small park! We enjoy seeing families go on walks and bike rides through the area and the groups of kids that come out to the park to play soccer and practice baseball. We live in a very central location—almost everything is only a stone's throw away. We live 5 minutes from our church, down the street from a wide variety of restaurants, and all of our closest family and friends live nearby. Going out only slightly further, our community has a wealth of places for families to enjoy, including parks, museums, libraries, and a tremendous zoo.

Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

Thank you for taking the time to consider us as the parents who will love and raise your child. We have many hopes in parenting: to foster compassion and empathy, to equip them with resilience and perseverance, to develop their unique talents and interests—but primarily to teach them to know and love God. We know that adoption comes with many unique experiences, but we're trusting in God's love and provision and will be praying that you and the future child will be receiving that gift as well. We hope you have enjoyed getting to know more about us, and we will look forward to the potential chance to meet you.

Thank you, Cade and Sophie
