Legacy Adoption Services

Chris & Monica

Hi! We are Chris and Monica.

Welcome to our little family! Our hope is that you can get a little look at what our family is all about, what we stand for, and all the things we love to do.

As a family we promise to provide a Christian home, encouraging love, and all the support your child will need throughout life. We will be their biggest supporter and provide all the opportunities life has to offer. As a family we will hug, laugh, and make lifelong memories. Our family will cherish this gift and always be blessed by your selfless love. Hopefully you will feel the blessing that your child would be to our sweet family.

Our two boys are over the moon excited to love on a sweet baby brother or sister. Your child will experience life as a loved child with hard working parents, two sets of very involved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a handful of cousins. Family gatherings, holiday traditions, and celebrating birthdays are a big part of who we are and the life we live. God has blessed us with an amazing life, and our desire is to share this life with you and your child.

We have been called by God to grow our family and walk the path of adoption. The Bible tells us to love God and love others. We will strive to keep these commandments all the days we have to love your child. Our family wants you to know that we have been sincerely praying for you and your baby. May God bless your life and whomever you may pick.

With love,

Chris, Monica, Reece, and Cody

A Little About Us

How we met:

Chris and I became great friends while in college. After many months of being friends, we decided to start dating. In 2000, we were married and have enjoyed 17 years of marriage. Our marriage is a gift and we strive every day to love each other for who we are. We enjoy traveling together, breakfast dates, eating Mexican food, and watching our kids play sports. It is important for our children to watch us lead our family in a loving relationship. Our children know they are loved and know that we believe in them, support them, and are always there to be their biggest fans in life.

About Chris, by Monica:

Chris is a family man who is hardworking and always lives life to the fullest. He brings joy to every situation, and you can usually find him with a smile on his face. He loves his two boys and enjoys making them laugh. You will find Chris outside playing sports or swimming with our kids and most of the neighbor boys and girls. He loves golfing, Aggie football, coaching kids baseball or soccer, and cooking on the grill. Chris is a loyal friend and is always willing to lend a hand. He has been working with the same company for over 14 years, and continues to excel in his line of business. Chris has a heart for growing his family, and cannot wait to share the joy we have with another child. Chris is our ROCK, and I couldn’t do this life without him. He leads our home with a loving strength, spontaneity, and a zest for life.

About Monica, by Chris:

Monica is a loving mother to our two boys. She is a positive role model, has a gentle spirit, and always sees the best in people. She dreams big, is thoughtful in so many ways, and has the biggest heart for helping others in need. She earned her masters degree in Education, completed six marathons, and one half Ironman (did I mention she dreams big)! You can find Monica volunteering in the 3rd Ward, spending quality time with her family, or reading chapter books to her boys at night. She savors every moment of being a mom, and enjoys watching her boys play sports. You can always find her giving them a big hug after the game. Her favorite thing to do is bake yummy treats with the boys. Monica loves Jesus and will cherish every moment she has to love your child by encouraging them to become everything God intends for them to be.

Meet Reece, age 11:

Oh that smile! Reece has always had a smile and a laugh that will make your heart melt. He is good at sports, loves his friends, and never meets a stranger. He enjoys family vacations, loves school, and can build anything with legos. Reece has a passion for life that is contagious. He has been praying for a brother or sister and can’t wait to share his laughter with them.

Meet Cody, age 9:

Cody loves life! He is the sweetest little boy, and loves to give everyone a big hug. His sweet spirit can light up a room. Cody loves his stuffed animals (all 76 of them). He plays sports, plays the piano, and everything turns into a song and dance. His best friend is his cousin (Ms. O for Olivia). He is sure to share his love for life with a new brother or sister.

Our faith, family, and friends are the most important things to us. We love being together and enjoy making memories. God has placed it on the hearts of all of us to expand our little family. We can’t wait to love you and your sweet bundle of joy. Our family is over the moon excited to become a party of five!

Our family enjoys celebrating birthdays! First thing when you wake up, we have balloons and a special present. We start off the day with ice cream sundaes for breakfast! It is the boys’ favorite thing, and they always ask for extra whip cream. We hosted an orphan boy from Eastern Europe this past summer. He returned to his birth mother at the end of July, but his birthday was in August. Reece and Cody insisted that we get special cupcakes to honor his special day. We always end the day with a big family dinner. It is a true blessing to celebrate life, and we can’t wait to have another birthday to celebrate.

Where we live:

We live in a family friendly neighborhood at the end of a cup-de-sac street. You can find our boys and many other children playing basketball in front of our house, or riding their bikes and scooters. Our boys are always helping out with the little children that live on our street. Cody’s entire baseball team lives in our small neighborhood we call home. Everyone decorates for Christmas and Halloween is filled with princesses and super heroes. We have a home that has its own pool and a spacious back yard for a play scape. The boys attend a private school where Monica works as a dyslexia teacher. It is so nice that mom is always at the school with her boys. They love being able to see her throughout the day.
