Courage. Love. Respect. These are the words that come to mind when we think of you. Even though we haven’t met, there is already a place in our hearts for you and your child. We’re humbled by the possibility that you might consider us as part of your adoption journey.

Even before the Lord blessed us with our son, we hoped adoption would be part of our story. Now, due fertility challenges and serious health risks associated with pregnancy, conception is no longer an option – and we are finally starting our long-awaited adoption journey! Most importantly, adoption has never been a backup plan. It’s something we’ve embraced, prayed for, and looked forward to for many years. Welcoming a child through adoption is also something our entire family supports. Brenna’s mom was adopted and has always shared how much it shaped her life for the better—she’s a strong advocate for the positive impact adoption can have. And for Dennis, some of his closest relationships aren’t biological—but they are absolutely family.

If chosen, we promise to raise your child in a home filled with faith, laughter, stability, and love. They will always know their story began with hope—and with your selfless act. You will always be spoken of with honor and respect.

About Us

Friends Became Forever

We’ve been friends since shortly after high school, and that same friendship is the foundation of our marriage today. Back then, we never imagined we’d end up together—but no one who knew us was surprised. After nine wonderful years together and six years of marriage, we’ve traveled to different countries, moved across the country, were blessed with our son, and built a beautiful life here in Texas. The only thing missing now is another child to share it with. We truly enjoy doing life side by side—we are partners and equals. We support each other always, laugh often, and are grateful for the years of friendship that allowed us to truly know and appreciate one another.

ABOUT DENNIS – From Brenna’s Perspective
Dennis is a considerate husband, a wonderful father, and truly my best friend. He lifts me up when I’m discouraged, supports me in everything I do, and makes me feel completely myself. I’ve never once had to question how much he loves us.

He’s strong in character, calm, and our son absolutely adores him. He’s playful—always building tents, making train tracks, or just being goofy—and also thoughtful about teaching life skills like respect and resilience. Dennis joined the Army at 19 as a paratrooper and served in combat zones. That experience shaped him into someone unique—sensitive, kind, and filled with purpose, perspective, and unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He’s even-tempered, compassionate, funny, and has a hidden talent for cooking!

ABOUT BRENNA – From Dennis’ Perspective
Brenna’s love radiates in everything she does. She’s honest, kind, and open with everyone she meets. As a mom, she’s patient, fun, and always turns the simplest moments into adventures—reading bedtime stories, singing silly songs, or dancing in the kitchen. She’s adventurous and full of life—from spontaneous road trips to baking from scratch and playing Christmas songs on the piano year-round. She makes the best chili mac and cheese and is always finding joy in the little things.

Brenna has two master’s degrees and a successful career in human resources, though you’d never know it unless you asked. She’s humble, grounded, and always fully herself. Her heart for growing our family comes from a place of compassion and purpose. As a wife, she’s my anchor, my encourager, and truly the most incredible woman I know.

The Simple Things Make Us Happy

Spending quality time together is what makes us happiest. Over the years, we’ve traveled and experienced so many different things, but these days, our adventures look a bit different in the best way. We’ve traded packed itineraries for kid-friendly spots, short weekend trips, and visits with extended family, and we wouldn’t change it for anything.

We both have great jobs that allow us to do meaningful work we’re passionate about with an organization that helps people across Texas, especially in rural communities. Just as importantly, our careers offer the flexibility and balance we need to be present for the things that truly matter. We’ve already worked with our supervisors to plan time off so we can spend the first few months at home with any new child we’re blessed with. Brenna will also continue working a hybrid remote schedule, allowing her to be home with the baby two extra weekdays throughout the first year.

We each have things we enjoy on our own, and even more that we love doing together. Brenna enjoys playing with our son, walking the dogs, and getting outside to explore. Dennis loves training and coaching in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and he’s also an excellent cook who’s always trying new recipes. He recently made steak enchiladas so good that Brenna joked hers were officially retired. We enjoy finding fun things to do in the community, relaxing by the lake, and watching movies together as a family.

It’s our faith and our little family that bring meaning to our days and fill our lives with joy—and the only thing missing is another child to share it all with.

Random Things That Are “Us”

We have Taco Bell or food from a local taqueria every Thursday and some type of comfort food every Sunday.
One dog is small and cuddly, the other is fast and athletic—both are great with kids.
On one of our favorite trips, we rode a car, bus, subway, train, water taxi, airplane, electric car, and scooter—all in one day!
Brenna bakes cookies nearly every week with the help of their son. Her nickname is “Cookie Monster.”
Our home is clean, but lived-in—our son’s toys are in almost every room.
We believe in raising kids to be kind, respectful, and confident in who they are.
Brenna has a whole wall in the kitchen covered in our son’s artwork—and she wouldn’t trade it for anything.
We take parenting and life seriously—but not ourselves.
We believe that God is first, family second, everything else last.

Our Family

Our family traditions include wearing matching sweaters at Christmas, Dennis’ famous Thanksgiving turkey, attending church together, waving along the local 4th of July parade, and going to hot air balloon events. We take family “turtle walks” by the lake, have music playing every weekend, read books together each night, and take yearly road trips to explore new places. These are just a few of the traditions and joys we can’t wait to share!

Blended With Love

Dennis comes from a large extended family, while Brenna’s is smaller, but we’re close with everyone. There are eight grandparents, four aunts, two uncles, and many cousins who are all fully supportive and excited about this adoption journey. We often tease each other about whose side is most excited—but it’s always a tie!

Dennis’s Extended Family
His mom and stepdad live in Oregon and are both retired nurses who enjoy traveling in their camping trailer and visiting wineries. They visit us once or twice a year, which is always fun. Dennis’ biological dad and stepmom are also retired and live in Oregon. His non-biological “dad” lives here in Texas and is every bit a grandpa—we see him multiple times a year. Dennis has two younger brothers, one a Navy Chief and the other a manager, whose wives work in physical therapy and law. Their son is close in age to ours, and we affectionately call them the “cousin crew.” Dennis also has three adult children who live in Las Vegas—a daughter who is an artist, and two sons, one a sushi chef and the other a college student. All three are thriving, independent, and doing great. We’re close with them, talk regularly, and Dennis visits them regularly. We all look forward to spending time together during the holidays, too.

Brenna’s Extended Family
Brenna’s family is smaller, but they are very close. Her parents live just down the street, too. Her mom is retired, and her dad is a geologist. We visit them often stopping by for dinners or quick drop-ins just to say “hi.” Her sister, a Navy Chief has two children—one with special needs who has tons of personality and always keeps us smiling, and the other very creative and musically talented. Brenna’s aunt and two cousins recently moved to Texas, which she is excited about being able to see them more often. While her extended family is small, they are a constant presence through calls, visits, and shared holidays.

Brenna’s mom was adopted as a child and often shares how much it shaped her life for the better. She’s a strong advocate for its beauty and impact, and this journey is especially meaningful to her and Brenna’s dad.

Our Home

A Special Place

Our home is in a peaceful lake community just outside a city in Texas. It’s spacious, full of natural light, and from almost every room you can catch a glimpse of the lake. We have 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fenced-in yard, and a dedicated playroom that’s usually scattered with toys, trucks, and fort cushions. One of our favorite places to spend time together is the family room, where Dennis designed a surround sound and color lighting setup that makes movie nights better than any theater.

We love the small-town feel of where we live—quiet and family-friendly, but full of fun and connection. Each year brings community events like pumpkin painting contests, stargazing nights, a Christmas light decorating contest that people drive in to see, and 4th of July fireworks we can watch from our own yard. There’s also a pancake breakfast at the local firehouse and summer food trucks that park right down the street, serving everything from tacos to Thai food.

Our lake community offers something special. It’s common to see deer wandering through our yard or past our windows like they own the place. Nearby are cows, goats, ducks, turtles, and even the occasional stray turkey. The lake is the heart of it all—families gather to canoe, fish, or just sit by the water and relax. On warm days, you’ll see jet skis, paddle boards, and neighbors waving to each other from golf carts.

Just down the street is a cozy children’s library that hosts story time and seasonal activities. We attend a non-denominational church that’s active in the community, with food drives, outreach events, and that helps our community. We’re also enrolled in a top-ranked private Christian daycare that has already guaranteed a spot for any future child who joins our family—and they’ve been cheering us on throughout our adoption journey.

It’s a peaceful, welcoming place to raise a family—quiet enough to feel like a retreat, but filled with life, community, and everything we need to enjoy time together and make lasting memories.
