Legacy Adoption Services

Dustin & Hayley

Hello, we are Dustin, Hayley and Carter!

Thank you so much for considering us as adoptive parents.

We have been married for almost 8 years and have one biological son, Carter. Almost a year and a half ago, it was discovered Hayley is a carrier of a genetic mutation and advised not have any more biological children. We have always wanted more children and the news was heartbreaking.

You have been prayed for ever since we knew our next step was adoption, and because you have chosen life you will be giving our family life. Adoption to us means growing our family and opening our home to a child that we will love and cherish always. It means answering a call that God has laid heavily on our hearts and being obedient to Him. We count it a joy for you to be a part of our journey and for us to be a part of yours.

With great admiration,

Dustin and Hayley

A Little About Us

Dustin by Hayley:

Dustin is my something good in this life. The rock of our family, he is faithful, hardworking, smart, funny, and so much more. My favorite part about him is his tender heart. He is loving and compassionate to all. Dustin brings a lot of fun to this family. He is always up for playing outside, a spontaneous outing, building LEGO’s, a game of basketball, or dominos. He has a true gift with children, and is a favorite among the nieces and nephews. Our son, Carter, anxiously awaits his arrival home from work every day, ready for them to play. Dustin serves lovingly, leads intently, and loves greatly.

Hayley by Dustin:

Hayley is the glue that holds it all together.  Her kind spirit, caring nature, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and her amazing intuition to know what her “boys” need truly forms our family.  Almost every day, Hayley puts personal touches on things she does to make us feel special.  She is a hard worker, energetic, fun, and a joy to be around.  Whether it’s celebrating a holiday, going to the movies, taking us to a new place to eat, hanging out in backyard, or just joking around on the couch, the love for her family always shines through.  Not only does she serve her family well, she is an active member of our community where she is a board member of a pregnancy crisis center and a local art alliance.  Her contributions both at home and outside are truly a reflection of how God works through her to make the lives of other’s more joyful.

Carter:

This precious, almost 5 year old, boy is the best gift I’ve ever received. He is out-going and strong willed like his mama and smart and funny like his daddy. Carter loves LEGOs, baseball, fishing, drawing, reading, and playing with all his cousins. He is so sweet and has a servant’s heart. He is so excited about having a little brother or sister, but says he definitely not changing dirty diapers!!

The Life We Live

We are far from perfect but we strive to have a home that is full of grace and stability. We love to laugh, spend time as a family, play board games, and host dinner parties. We are so fortunate to have most of our extended family close by so family functions and holidays are big and crazy (the good crazy)! We have such a wonderful support system, not just family, but friends and an amazing church community. You can find us most Friday nights at a local pizza place with other couples and their kids. Dustin, Carter, and I love going to football games, listening to live music, fishing at the lake, jumping on the trampoline, grilling out, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, or heading out into the wooded area behind our house for a nature adventure. Our favorite vacation spot is the beach but we love to go just about anywhere! We’ve also been known to have a Saturday morning dance party or two. We believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and you should love your neighbor as yourself.

How we met?

We’ve always known each other. We grew up in the same small town and attended school together. Although we were friends, we didn’t start dating until college.  In 2009, Dustin proposed with a ring and the cutest little black and white dog named, Tina Turner. In 2010, We said “I do” and have been married for almost 8 years. We’ve shared lots of joy, laughter, tears, loss and disappointment throughout our marriage but love each other more today than when we first began.

Where we live:

We live in beautiful Northeast Texas where we have the advantage of living in the country but close enough to visit the city anytime.  Our cottage style home sits on 3.5 acres full of trees and room to explore.  We have a ton of family nearby which is great fun during holidays, special events, or even just sharing a meal.
