About Us

A Classic Aggie Love Story

Life as a pair began eleven years ago, when Garrett was – quite literally – the first person I met on the campus of Texas A&M University. Garrett was a year older and serving as a Fish Camp counselor for my incoming freshman class. Suffice it to say, it was not love at first sight… but he certainly caught my eye when he showed up to geography class a week later looking VERY handsome in a Corps of Cadets uniform! After a subtle “hey, I know you!”, I began slyly saving Garrett a seat in class which then led to a study date at Fuzzy’s Taco… and the rest was history!

After four years of relishing in the traditions of the Corps of Cadets and making a lifetime’s worth of great friends, we were married beachside in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in front of 45 of our closest family and friends! In the years since, time has been spent spoiling our pups, enjoying weekends at the lake with family and friends, returning to our alma mater for football games in the fall, and imagining the future family we hope to build together.

Our Family

We can't wait to include children in the traditions that hold a prominent place in our lives – like summer weekends at the lake house, Texas A&M football games in the fall, and Thursday night life group with our church family (including the tribe of 7 kids). I hope they will love the holiday season as much as we do and I can't wait to see the magic of Christmas lights and our annual Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert through their eyes!

Our Home

Home is in the Hill Country!

We live in a booming, yet quaint, town in the Texas hill country outside of San Antonio! We love this location because of its easy access to the culture and conveniences of San Antonio, while still allowing us the benefits of establishing roots in a small town. This community is SO fun because it is full of young families and neat local restaurants, still shuts down Main Street for festivals throughout the year, and is close to many of the most beautiful rivers and state parks in Texas. Between these attractions, the community we have built through our church life group, and our best college friends living nearby, we keep busy and have a tribe of kiddos running around at all times!

Our home is located in a well-kept, gated neighborhood that is always buzzing with kids riding bicycles and families taking their daily stroll. We are surrounded by amazing neighbors that share their pools with us and are always lifesavers when we are missing recipe ingredients or find ourselves in a pinch! We live within a top-rated school district and there is a walkway to the elementary school one street over from our house.

We keep a relatively minimalist style in our home – which to us, translates to tidy, intentional, and relaxing! We love our open-concept space for entertaining friends, playroom that is within direct line of sight from the kitchen, and the afternoon shade in our backyard that protects us from the Texas heat! This house is our refuge from the outside world and we will ensure that it remains a stable, fun-filled place where our children can thrive and rest peacefully in the knowledge that they are safe and loved.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for reading our story!

We hope that you have been able to see our heart, get a feel for our family, and see how excited we are to experience this next stage of life! While we certainly do not know all that the future holds, we can promise that your sweet baby will have no shortage of adventure and love from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends (aka “chosen family”) if you decide to make us part of his or her story.

We cannot even begin to imagine all that you are feeling right now – but please know that you and your child's lives have immeasurable worth! We are praying for you to be loved well, led to the right family, and to feel at peace in the days and weeks ahead!

With Love and Gratitude,
Kelsey and Garrett
