About Us

About Us

We actually grew up in the same town, and briefly dated when we were 15 years old. We reconnected through a mutual friend when we were both home during Christmas break of our senior years of college. We just celebrated 10 years of marriage! We both grew up with one sibling each, and knew from early on that we wanted a big family with lots of kids. We imagined our future with a house full of kids, fun, laughter, and play. We have a start on this with 3 biological kids, but we feel God calling us to continue to expand our family through adoption. The built in friendship of siblings has been so sweet, and such a gift to us and our boys. There is always someone to play, create, adventure, and explore with. The boys love our friends babies, and are SO excited to add another sibling to their ”crew.”

We host Easter and Christmas at our house every year and love having a full house. In the summertime, we take annual trips to both the lake and the beach with Kristen’s family (her parents, brother, his wife, and their 2 kids). We have all of our extended family nearby and have a large support system! We have also recently started camping as a family, and are looking forward to more trips. The kids have so much fun hiking, swimming, playing flashlight tag, and roasting hot dogs and s’mores!

Our Family

Faith is the foundation of our family, so a lot of our traditions center around our faith in Jesus. In November, we have a gratitude pumpkin. Every night at dinner, we write things we are thankful for on our pumpkin. In December, we set up a "Giving Manger" to practice kindness and love towards others, and remind the kids (and ourselves) that Christmas is all about God's greatest gift to us! On Christmas morning, we make a cake and sing happy birthday to Jesus before unwrapping gifts.

Our Home

Our Home

We live in North Texas in a neighborhood with a lot of space, and a 1.5 acre backyard! Our neighborhood has tons of kids, several parks within walking distance, and a local library right down the street. We also have several neighbors with horses that we walk or bike to regularly!

Our home has a large kitchen where we cook and eat together as a family every night! The boys have their own cooking set and love to “help” in the kitchen. We have 4 bedrooms plus a playroom with an enclosed loft where the kids love to climb, build, and create!

The backyard is our favorite place to be! We frequently have friends over to play, or cookout in the summertime. We have a big playground, trampoline, climbing gym, and an above ground pool that we set up in the summer.

Final Thoughts

Thank you!

Our faith is the foundation of so much of our family. Our church is our kids second home, and our church family is so excited to welcome your sweet baby into it. As a family, we read Bible stories, memorize scripture, listen to worship music, and frequently practice forgiveness and grace. Thank you again for considering us to raise your son or daughter. We recognize that this is one of the most important, and likely one of the hardest, decisions you will make. As you look through profiles of amazing families and consider your next steps, we are praying for wisdom, discernment, and peace for you. If you choose our family, we promise to take care of and love your child for the rest of our lives. We will be a safe place for them and will give them everything they need to flourish and grow. You are strong and brave, and we cannot wait to meet you!
