A little about us- We have been together for 11 years, and married for 9. We started our relationship as best friends working for the same coffee company we still do now. We have spent just about every day of our relationship working together and it has only made our love grow stronger and relationship closer. Since having our first child, our family has become the center point of our lives and we are thankful to have the flexibility to put our family first, always.

While we feel so fortunate to have had our son, Cowen, in 2020 without any struggles, our strong relationship has helped us throughout a 2.5 year struggle with infertility as we tried to grow our family with a second child. We have always wanted a bigger family, and initially thought we would adopt after our second child. After many prayers, we both felt peace for the first time in years as we realized that not only was adoption the path for us, but it was truly the plan that God had for us all along.

We know that you have such a difficult decision ahead of you and admire your strength throughout the process. We hope you feel comforted knowing that we believe that adoption is more than just us adding a child to our family but that it will continue to include you! We want to honor you by creating and building a relationship that can include everything from pictures and videos, to ongoing annual visits and updates throughout the child’s life. That way, not only will you get to know them, but they will be able to know and love you throughout their life.

About Us

The Story Of Us

We met in 2012 while living in Tempe, Arizona when Kelli started working with Cory at Dutch Bros Coffee. From there, we became best friends, bonding over our love for people, working out, and for making each other laugh. Exactly one year from the day we met, we began dating and quickly knew our relationship was meant for more. Cory bought an engagement ring after 6 months and carried it around with him everywhere waiting for the right opportunity.

During a vacation to Sedona, Arizona, our relationship evolved into an engagement! We both love being outdoors and have always preferred intimate settings, so in 2015, exactly 3 years from the day that we met, and started dating, we decided to hike back up to a secluded trail in Sedona with a handful of our best friends and tied the knot there. Afterwards, we had a more traditional ceremony with our extended family and friends but love having had that intimate moment to truly celebrate our love together.

We both still work for the company that gave us the opportunity to find each other, and that has led us from owning a franchise in Nevada for 6 years to giving us the opportunity to move to Texas as we helped our brand expand further east. While it’s been just over three years, Texas is our forever home and we love everything about raising our family here together. We are both proud of our careers but are more thankful for the flexibility they give to make space for our family and the things that are important to us.

What We Love

Most of our spare time is spent together as a family, but we still have hobbies we love to do! We both workout in our garage gym together, and try to stay active. Cory is an early riser, and likes to jump in the cold plunge before a workout. Kelli loves going on long walks and runs with her friends.

It is important for our family to eat a home cooked dinner around the table every night, and Cory is the family chef. He enjoys making something everyone will like each night. Kelli is also known for saying that she really only works out so she can have dessert as often as possible, so you can always find her trying out new dessert recipes. And we both love trying different cookie and dessert spots around town too!

Living in Texas always has us planning family activities around the heat, so the mornings are spent outside as often as possible. We love going on family walks around the neighborhood, playing with our friends in the cul-de-sac, and swimming in the pool. In the afternoons, we love watching movies in our movie room, and are always playing fun games in the playroom.

Our Family

We live for Christmas and everything the holiday season brings! During the season, we love going on nightly walks around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights. We take this time to wind down from the year, spend time as a family, visit extended family, and have loved creating new Christmas traditions now that we have a child. We are so excited to include a new sibling in our end of year adventures together, and look forward to spending that time with them every year.

Our Extended Family

We feel like we hit the jackpot when it comes to our social circle—our son has a group of neighborhood friends who are practically family! And all the kids even go to the same school because the adults have become best friends. All of Cowen's friends have younger siblings, so a new member of our family will fit right in with the neighborhood crew.

Cory comes from a family with 3 siblings that have a combined 9 children. They all live in Arizona, so it gives us an opportunity to get away during the cold months in Texas! Aside from other visits throughout the year, we typically spend every Thanksgiving with Cory's family and it's so fun to see all the cousins playing together the whole time.

On Kelli's side, we get to fly to Seattle any time we can get away for a visit. She has one sister, and 6 step siblings. The puppy love definitely comes from this side, with a combined 5 golden retrievers! We spend every Christmas here, but enjoy going in the warmer months too to spend time at the beach on The Puget Sound. And now that all of the grandparents are retired, we are also always hosting family in Texas! We are blessed with a close knit community locally, and love having the opportunity to visit our extended family in fun parts of the country.
