About Us

From Marathon to Marriage!

Steven and I met when our mutual friend put together a relay marathon team. Steven and I were both asked to join! We enjoyed spending time with one another that weekend, but Steven still had one year of college left and we lived in different cities. A year went by and Steven ended up accepting a job in Houston and asked for me to show him around the area. The rest is history! Steven and I dated for three years before getting engaged. We have now been married for 4.5 years!

Meeting one another was definitely worth the wait. Over these last few years of marriage, our relationship has grown stronger than ever. We have had to accept our infertility diagnosis and find the strength as a couple to overcome it. Our adoption journey has given us new hope and excitement for our next steps as a married couple. We can’t wait to add a child to our family!

Our Family

We love family traditions, and we can’t wait to have a child to add to the memories! We spend time every summer in Michigan with Kristyn's immediate family, aunt, uncle, and cousins. Kristyn grew up spending summers here, and it is a place that is near and dear to her heart. It is where we got engaged! We can't wait to bring a child to this special place. We also love to travel and explore other parts of the world. We have gone on trips to Spain, Croatia, Italy, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and many other places! We cannot wait to bring our child with us on future travels so that he or she can explore the world with us. Another fun tradition that we do as a family is matching Christmas pajamas and coordinated Halloween costumes. Even Phoebe gets to join in on the fun! We also look forward to starting many new family traditions together!

Our Home

Home Sweet Home

We live in a family-friendly neighborhood located right on the outside of a large city. Our neighborhood has a lake with plenty of ducks to feed, and there is a running/biking trail that is walking distance from our house! We are zoned to a great public school system and have excellent private schools nearby as well. Our home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. We have 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so plenty of room for a growing family! We are lucky to have multiple neighbor friends on our street with young children. We enjoy having cul-de-sac parties, watching football games in the backyard, and hosting neighbor dinner nights! Next up- play dates and wiffle ball tournaments in the cul-de-sac... we can't wait!

Final Thoughts

In Closing

We hope that this page gave you a glimpse into our lives. We want nothing more than a child to bring into our home and to love. We cannot begin to understand the pain that you may be experiencing, but we want you to know that we vow to love, care for, and provide for your baby for as long as we live. We hope you make the decision that is best for you. Know that we are praying that God gives you peace and comfort during this time. Sincerely, Steven and Kristyn
