We rely on the relationships with our Dallas adoption partners
It takes a village to adopt a child. Healthcare professionals, adoption social workers, hospital staff and attorneys must all come together for the sake of the young child. At Legacy, we’ve spent years building relationships with our Dallas adoption partners. Our collaboration has led to hundreds of successful adoption solutions for everyone involved.
Legacy has an active presence throughout Texas. With our home in North Richland Hills, we are accustomed to helping Dallas and Fort Worth families.
How do our adoption partners help Legacy?
One of the best parts of adoption is the sense of teamwork. The birth parents, adoptive family, physicians, nurses, adoption social workers and attorneys communicate and empathize with each other. Time and again, these are incredible learning experiences for everyone.
Legacy’s job is to guide families and professionals towards the best solution for the child. As a result, we collaborate with many of the following Dallas adoption partners.
- Medical staff. We often work with the expectant mother’s OBGYN and delivery hospital to ensure she is getting the best care possible. This includes helping her obtain Medicaid and ensuring she receives compassion and respect.
- Lawyers. We have longstanding relationships with many local adoption attorneys. They draw up our adoption consent papers, review Home Studies and prepare for finalizations.
- Adoption social workers. Both birth parents and adoptive families need an experienced social worker during this entire process. This state agent typically provides counsel and resources as well as knowledge and encouragement. She is also heavily involved in the Home Study process.
- Support services. Meeting others who have been through the adoption process can be highly therapeutic. Our adoption social workers focus on their clients’ well-being, so we often help our families find support groups and other outside resources to make their walk easier.
