Hello! We are Josh and Katie!

How do we even begin to write a love letter to people we have never met, yet who have already captured our hearts? Words cannot express all of the love and gratitude we have for you and this gift of adoption. We cannot imagine what you must be going through and feeling during this time, but know that our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you constantly.

God gave us the desire to have a family many years ago. Our plan consisted of having biological and adopted children. Josh’s Dad and aunt were both adopted. However, after many years of trying to conceive on our own, and pursing infertility treatments, we realized that God had a different plan for us. After much prayer, He led us to Legacy Adoption Services.

Although we cannot replace you, we promise to love your child unconditionally and to help them discover God’s perfect plan for their life. We will also remind them of your love and your brave and selfless decision. We will always do our best to honor you. We hope that you will consider trusting us with your child. We would be honored to be part of this journey with you.

About Us

Our Story

We met in Virginia the summer after Katie graduated college and had an immediate connection. We started out as good friends and soon after fell in love. We live in a small town in the northern DFW area with our son Josiah, and two small dogs Sophie and Riley. We all enjoy spending time outdoors, trying out new restaurants and going on adventures. We love to laugh and have fun just being together as a family.

Josh is honestly my favorite person on the planet. He is very kind and brings out the very best in those around him. He is a safe place and provides comfort and sound advice. He is very generous and has a beautiful heart. Josh is truly my best friends and I am so thankful for him.

About Katie (written by Josh)
Katie is one who loves deeply. She is compassionate, nurturing and selfless. She always makes time to comfort and friend or family member in need. Katie’s tender heart comes through in her love of animals—especially her two dogs, Sophie and Riley. She is warm and kind, generous and thoughtful. She is an amazing listener and always offers sound advice. Her smile and joyful personality are contagious. She has a wonderful sense of humor and loves to laugh. Katie is optimistic, always finding the good. She is a beautiful person inside and out.

Our Fun Traditions

We both love the Christmas season. Every year we decorate our home with over a dozen trees of various shapes and sizes. We are always on the lookout to for a new decoration or ornament to add to our collection. We decorate cookies, and or gingerbread houses. We decorate our home’s exterior with red and white lights and green wreaths. We open stocking on Christmas Eve and love driving around the area to look at other’s holiday lights and outdoor decorations.

We also love the Spring. Every year we make a trip to a local pick-your-own tulip farm where we enjoy choosing from the many colorful varieties of tulips. We also look forward to attending the Bluebonnet Festival every year and exploring the beautiful and vibrant spring wildflowers in the surrounding areas.

One of our other fun traditions is to take a trip every fall. One of our recent trips was to Mexico where we stayed in a resort on the beach. We took excursions to Mayan ruins, explored local shops and swam with dolphins. Our next planned trip is to New England to see fall leaves and learn more about early American history.

Our Family

Our Home

Home Sweet Home

We built our home in 2019. It has five bedrooms and four and a half baths. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large loft and media room upstairs. The main bedroom and nursery are downstairs. There is also a fenced in back yard. We live in a wonderful community with many young families and an elementary school less than a mile from our house. The school system in our city is very desirable and highly rated. Our community offers two playgrounds, two pools, a mini golf putting green, basketball court, walking trails and multiple catch and release fishing ponds. We even have ducks that the neighborhood families feed regularly.
