About Us

Our Story

Zach and Elissa had a one in a million chance of meeting—by God’s grace and unique plan, they were placed on the same client site nearly 10 years ago while working at one of the nation’s leading accounting firms, Deloitte Tax, LLP. Zach was instantly drawn to Elissa’s beauty, joyful spirit, and infectious laugh. Elissa had an immense amount of respect for Zach’s work ethic, consideration for others, and stability (his tall stature was a bonus).

Though—what brought us together (outside of Zach’s desk labeled the ‘snack cube’) was the wedding of a coworker. Since Elissa lacked a date at the time, she decided to ask Zach to the wedding—to which he quickly accepted for the stars to align. The wedding date went effortlessly and the rest is history.

Elissa introduced Zach to church and shared her faith with him. As a result, Zach came to know Christ, began attending church regularly, and read several books which strengthened his faith. We grew our relationship as friends, started dating later that year, and celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary in December of 2022.

Our Family

As far as holidays, we LOVE Christmas—cold weather, hot chocolate, Home Alone, jingle bells, and plays. Many traditions surround the Christmas season, including visits with Santa, viewing Christmas lights, decorating, baking cookies, wearing Christmas pajamas, enjoying traditional meals with family, and lots and lots of gifts! We also enjoy other holiday traditions with family such as Thanksgiving lunch, Easter egg hunts, and 4th of July barbecues.

Our Home

Our Home

We live in a suburban neighborhood full of young families around us. John Parker attends a private Christian classical school, conveniently located 10 minutes from our home. Elissa's parents live five minutes away, in the neighborhood right next to ours. There are plenty of parks and pools in both neighborhoods.

Our home is a three-bedroom, two-bath home with an office and playroom, so we have the perfect space to accommodate our growing family. Zach works from home three days per week and commutes to his firm's office two days per week. The backyard has a garden, two red oak trees, and plenty of room to run around and play. Behind our fenced backyard is an open field with a retention pond.

We live on a quiet street away from the main road and our thankful for our friendly neighbors, both of which have young children.

We treasure spending time at Elissa's parents' house down the street as they have a fun home with a pool, hot tub, movie room, and large play area upstairs. It's a fun place for the grandparents to spoil the grandkids!

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you;

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
